Almost every year about this time, I upgrade my Windows PC with some new part. Usually it’s just an incremental upgrade, like a new video card, but this year it was a total lobotomy (i.e. new motherboard and CPU). While I love the speed boost, there are issues with my Windows XP install which make it almost unusable. Ironically, the dual boot to Windows Vista works great and I’m spending most of my time there as a result. Since my iTunes library lives in XP right now, I’ve had to adjust to Podcast Ready’s “MyPodder” software to update my podcasts on my iPod. While it works, it has some pretty ugly downsides that I’ll blog about shortly. I guess it’s time to build my library in Vista and spend my last iTunes authorization.
Such problems 🙂
