Interesting first day comparing Techmeme‘s feed with Scoble‘s link blog. The first thing that surprised me was how few posts there were in each but Robert does produce the larger number of stories. Second, the variety of content with Scoble’s links more closely mirrors the 200 or so feeds I usually read; Techmeme seems more corporate focused for some reason.

But it’s just one day, we’ll see how this develops over the next week… oh, Scoble has better cartoons, too

Interesting post over on Scobleizer about gaming TechMeme. Since I’m not on the “fabric” of TechMeme (Robert’s term in his videos), I can’t get on the radar no matter how insightful the commentary here unless I get a bunch of other bloggers talking about the same thing (that seems contradictory to ethos of blogging from my perspective).

And that’s the main issue with meme trackers from my perspective as they are walled gardens of blogging superstars who can post whatever they like and get picked up on TechMeme. All the rest of us have to work incredibly hard to get noticed.

That’s the way of the world, so I’m not complaining… I just wish I started blogging in 2000
